Ace of the Saddle plot
Rancher Cheyenne Harry Henderson discovers cattle thieves are stealing from his herd. He informs the sheriff, but finds that he is in cahoots with the bandits. Faulkner, the sheriff in neighboring Pinkerton County, has no authority to act. Henderson, on the other hand, falls in love with Faulkner's daughter and asks him to renounce arms. Only because the cattle thieves abide by the code of honor not to shoot unarmed men does Henderson stay alive. The bandits do poison the water that the ranch needs.
