In the border town of Crestview, outlaws Slim Stevens and Hutch Dalton are surprised one day to see gold nuggets falling from Cannonball's pockets. They force Cannonball to reveal the location of the gold mine he discovered. Slim, Hutch and their gang members take the shortest route to the mine and arrive at the property of Big Bill Bailey's ranch. Bailey and his foreman Bob Wilson oppose the outlaws, but are in danger of losing the battle.
