A grenade fired from the hills during the siege of Sarajevo in 1992 kills the parents of a boy, who can no longer speak. A neighbor adopts him and takes care of him. However, the boy goes roaming the city with a friend. His neighbor tries to protect him, but too soon the boy learns about things like power, death and sex.
