The Eternal Sea plot
"Hollywood Now Brings You a Story of Heroic Greatness..."
Naval officer John Hoskins loves his family, but he loves the Navy even more. His greatest wish is to lead his own command ship and perhaps his wish will come true when he is transferred to the USS Princetown. But on a combat mission, he loses his right leg. However, Hoskins has no intention of leaving the service. He works grimly on his recovery until he finally manages to get a captaincy. In the meantime, he also has a new vision: from now on it should also be possible to land with a jet fighter on his aircraft carrier. After all, people are already afraid of another war.
