Straight into Darkness plot
In the last winter of the Second World War, just after the Ardennes offensive, the madness of the war is portrayed through the eyes of two American soldiers. Deming has gone mad and deserts to avoid fighting. In doing so, he takes Lesley, a soldier with his heart in the right place, who does not know what to do with the memories of his beloved in America and the flashbacks of the war horrors he experienced. Deming adds fuel to the fire when he takes an elderly couple hostage in a desolate mansion. But then the story takes an unexpected turn...
