Mesterjátszma plot

Márta and István try to leave Hungary with the last refugee train in November '56. In addition to the young couple, the church's priceless relics are on their way to the western frontier, to the free world. The government agents try to find out the route by torturing a Catholic priest. The stories of the characters on board the train intercept each other in a crucial game of chess in which not only the fate of the relics is at stake, but also the lives of the two lovers.
