Fair Stood the Wind for France plot

During World War II, while retreating from a bombing raid in Italy, John Franklin is forced to make an emergency landing in France, still under German occupation. He is wounded and a French family tries to hide him from the Germans. John falls in love with Françoise, the daughter of the house.
