White Lie plot

London, during the fall. Sydney, a passionate young writer, teams up with Richard Westfield, a well-known author, who, however, is without inspiration. On the advice of his girlfriend Lola, Sydney has given a manuscript of his first novel to Westfield. The talent of the young man is an insult to the old writer. He tramples on the job, Sydney is deeply hurt and resigns. However, the young writer later finds out that his mentor has stolen the manuscript and is about to achieve success with it all over town. A nightmare begins for Sidney...
