Good example of a good concept with a lousy execution.

The idea is well thought out but the execution is quite hilarious. It's a kind of realistic premise that might actually exist in real life and that's all quite gruesome, but the effect ensures that you never believe it. The acting is also not good, so no one seems believable. In addition, there are continuous unbelievable situations that arise. Still, I sat through this film because of the mediocrity of the whole thing. Quite entertaining in some ways, but a bad movie. Unfortunately. Remake now!

Due to money problems, Ryan [Nick Stahl] moves in with his friend Jack [Brian Groh] in an unnamed Latin American country. By an unfortunate coincidence, he is forced to pose as Jack, who has been hired by Imogene [Tamsin Topolski] and Maurice [Juan Carlos Messier] to host a rather gruesome dinner party. The unexpected arrival of a suspicious detective [Randy Vasquez] is the first twist in a dark game, with which Ryan - if he can play his cards right - can be freed from his debts in one go. Black comedy with a completely emotionless Stahl, which sometimes makes you doubt whether it is a comedy or a silly thriller. The basic idea is not bad, but Tomnay's ineffective direction and the colorless acting ensure that this is neither exciting nor funny.

Quite a nice video. Okay, the acting is a bit substandard, but I found the story original and entertaining. In any case, I wasn't bored for a moment. With better actors I would certainly have given a higher grade, but despite the poor acting, this film still gets a passing grade.
