Uppdraget plot
Eric Dalgren, a young Swedish diplomat, is transferred to South America to mediate between the government, the left-wing Liberation Front and the right-wing vigilante group. He is stationed in the south where the hearth of unrest lies. General Larringa was recently killed there because he was about to speak out about politics and his speech was rather left-wing. Dalgren soon finds out that the police and military are terribly corrupt. His main opponent is Behounek, who is led by the army general Gami and the chief of the vigilante. Dalgren manages to obtain the assassinated general's speech and makes it known worldwide via radio. He has lost his neutrality and he becomes a pawn between the bloody fighting parties. Risking his own life, he tries to carry out his assignment, despite the threats.
