A rich playboy is involved in boat races and in one of these races he has an accident. His boat was sabotaged and explodes, but the man ends up in the water just before the explosion and is lucky: he is quickly cared for by a medical team and after brain surgery he returns home safely. However, he suffers from some amnesia and is tormented by nightmares that push him to the brink of insanity.
