"The truth has many layers"

A double murder is committed in a hotel room. Agent Gloria Hernandez is assigned to the case. There is only one suspect: the eccentric Janie Holtz, who immediately confesses to the murders. Gloria doesn't trust the quick confession and starts to feel there's more to these murders. When no evidence is found against Janie, Gloria goes against the rules herself to find the real perpetrator of the two murders. Not everyone is happy with her efforts to prove Janie's innocence.
