The Killer Downstairs plot

Alison Peters worked as a lawyer for years, but now works in a supermarket. She needs money and decides to sign up on a website to rent out her basement. Alison gets a response from James Brewer, a man who is divorced and looking for a place to live. Alison and James fall in love and begin a relationship. The trouble starts when people from Alison's circle of friends are found dead. They were murdered and the police believe that Alison is the culprit.
