The Hostages plot

Australian backpackers Joanne and Richard's paradise vacation in Cambodia is shattered when they are taken off a train by rebels and kidnapped. The kidnappers demand a huge ransom from the Australian government in exchange for their freedom. While in captivity, Joanne and Richard meet the French couple Louise and Pierre, who have also been kidnapped by the rebels. When it later becomes clear that both the Australians and the French mining company, which Pierre was employed by, refuse to pay, Richard and Pierre are executed without mercy. Joanne and Louise fear that they will soon suffer the same fate...
