Synthesized plot

Martyn is a man out of place. He loves his wife, Valkyrie, computers, and synthesizers, which he plays in cafes and clubs for unresponsive audiences. But when Valkyrie cheats on him and Martyn's life begins to unravel, he retreats into his music, hoping to soothe his inner turmoil. But music can both evoke the darkness and soothe the soul, and it's not long before Martyn is playing more than just the keys on his synthesizer keyboard.
