Stronghold plot

"When the world shattered, their truth emerged."

A deadly virus has largely wiped out humanity. Luckily, Nena got her daughter Sol back and they moved to a cabin in the woods and fortified the area so the infected can't get in. Nena and Sol usually live off what they can hunt or grow, but occasionally Nena leaves the area to look for things they need. She always refuses to take her daughter with her, insisting she is not ready yet. Of course, Sol has now grown up and is becoming a bit restless, having not seen the world for years. One day a stranger arrives.
