Street of Dreams plot

"Some men would die for her love. He may have to kill for it."

A private detective walks through Los Angeles one evening. He notices a beautiful young woman looking for cocaine. He takes her to his house where she spends the night on his couch. He is deeply attracted to her but does not realize that he will end up in a grubby world.
