Strangers Kiss plot
A 1950s Hollywood director wants to turn a screenplay about a boxer who falls in love with a showgirl (referring to Kubrick's Killer's Kiss) into a cheap B-movie. He tries to encourage the actors from his film to have a real relationship, in the hope that this will benefit the love scenes.
