Drood is a cartoonist with a sense of humor that serves him well in his work but is a disaster for his personal life. He is divorced and does not see his daughter as often as he would like. One day he comes home and his apartment is turned upside down. After being beaten up by a stranger who wants to know something about him that he knows nothing about, he goes to the police. There he discovers that he is suspected of murdering a mysterious blonde with whom he had a brief affair. The police seem to be more involved in the plot than to help him, his ex-wife doesn't believe him either and then another corpse shows up, this time in his apartment...
