Watched this movie last night and I have to say I'm still impressed by it.

An excellent film with an interesting subject, the underlying story is also very well developed, particularly through excellent acting by Joe Cole, a setting and camera work that makes the story almost tangible, and a sublime choice of music for the film.

The many scene changes in the film also make it a pleasure to watch.

Minor drawbacks include the sometimes somewhat long-winded fight scenes within the prison walls, plus the fact that at the end of the film I would have liked to know a little more about the question: 'What now for Tommie...?'

I must say that the role of prison guard (Senior Officer) Bob is also played very well.

In my opinion, this film is highly recommended. One caveat: I definitely don't consider it a thriller. My rating: 4 *

Dragon of a movie..

Actually, not a single good word to say about this "Offender." Since when is looking angry (the entire movie) acting? I'm referring to Cole. It's truly laughable at times. We also meet so-called gangsters in prison, including Jake, played by English Frank. I wouldn't even cast this guy for a soap opera; his acting is so terrible. In the UK, he's a rapper; he could do much better.

The story, well, pretty bad too. Tommy could wait until the idiot gang was released from jail, and then teach them a lesson because they didn't get life sentences.

In conclusion, what a boring film this is. Aside from a few fights, there's little to experience. Quickly forget this utterly awful film. 1.5*

Pretty cool.

A bit overblown, but that suits the Brits. Overly flashy behavior, raw filming, and overflowing with thick accents. Netflix had a problem with it, as a bit of [inaudible] regularly appears in the subtitles. Not exactly professional.

Joe Cole is good in the lead role, but the film's success depends more on characters like English Frank. He goes overboard, but in a way that's still manageable, in my opinion. It doesn't look very natural, but he also plays the kind of guy who just wants to be tough for the sake of being tough.

The cinematography is otherwise quite good. Close-up but with plenty of focus on visuals. The music is decent, but mostly hidden in the background. The plot is fairly predictable, although Scalpello does try to inject a small twist, but it doesn't quite pan out.

Just another great British film about some sleazy kids. They always get a good rap. Scalpello shows plenty of potential, so I'll definitely check out his new one.

3.5*
