When John Spears is arrested on suspicion of murdering his neighbor, detectives Kenosha and Fett are tasked with investigating the crime. In contact with the not so communicative Spears, Kenosha becomes more and more fascinated with the suspect and learns that there is more going on than meets the eye. Digging into his past, she discovers a man traumatized by the death of his beloved and by events so shocking that he hardly dares to talk about them. After Kenosha is warned by an American security company, Spears increasingly withdraws into his own world and finds himself on the brink of insanity.
