Inspector Tejpal Randhawa is given the case of the death of a young woman whose body was fished from a small lake. Tejpal links this to the disappearance of a young woman, reported by Ravi Patwardhan, and soon the woman is identified as Sheela, Ravi's wife. Tejpal suspects Ravi, but why would a father of two kill his own wife?
