Happy return from Moreau.
Ils was a small genre masterpiece, but after that it went downhill for this director. On the one hand some Hollywood aspirations, on the other hand films that were aimed at a younger audience. But with this MadS he shows that Ils was no fluke.
Now I am a fan of one-shots anyway, and it is a form that is also very suitable for a zombie outbreak scenario. It is nice that you follow multiple characters, that also makes the threat just a little bigger. Visually neat, audio also on level and some creepy moments. Long time since I really enjoyed a full-blooded horror.

I found it disappointing unfortunately. The acting is quite good but these characters are very annoying in my eyes or one-dimensional where I also didn't care about the people. If the characters are only immoral then it doesn't really matter that they die. If the characters also had another side then it would be more interesting.
The fact that it was recorded in one take doesn't really bother me. I didn't think it added much. I didn't find it scary and not really believable. I found the scene on the motorbike annoying in the end. Maybe that was some French teenage anxiety that I couldn't place. I don't know what to make of that scene. At first I thought there was a new drug on the market that turns you into a zombie. That actually sounds more interesting to me. Does that scenario already exist? I really only half enjoyed it and absolutely don't want to see it again. Ils did, I do want to see that one again. 2.5

Finally an original zombie movie that sometimes reminded me of that other French bad trip thriller, Climax. Acting performances are not always fantastic and some scenes are very drawn out, but the tension was seriously increased because it is a single-take film or at least seems to be. Very efficient cinematographic choice.
