Kreis der Angst plot

Stella (Katja Flint) flees with her 11-year-old daughter (Sophie Steiner) to her hometown of Föhr. Her sickly jealous husband has stripped her of all pleasure from life and she tries to find peace in the environment where she grew up. She befriends the epicurean Nico (Martin Umbach), but his girlfriend Anya (Sandra Speichert) would rather see Stella go than come. In addition, she has to deal with recurring nightmares about her childhood, the period in which her father killed her mother out of jealousy. Present and past are increasingly intertwined and that leads to a dangerous climax.
