Diana Weston is a brisk professor of English literature at university, but at home she effaces herself in favor of her busy husband Carl and her teenage daughter Tess. When young and handsome college student Jeff Dante tries to seduce her, Diana succumbs to his charms. She soon realizes that she has committed a stupidity and wants to break up with him. But then she learns that Jeff is suspected of murdering his ex-girlfriend.
