Grand Larceny plot

"A young woman (Marilu Henner) is summoned to France for a videotaped offer from her late father, a master thief."

Master thief Charles (Louis Jourdan) has a curious profession: he steals back valuables stolen from rich people. He does this with great success and leads a luxurious life on the Côte d'Azur. Because he is no longer the youngest, he wants to transfer his profession to his estranged daughter Freddy (Marilu Henner). To test her, he fakes a theft of an expensive racehorse.
