When 25-year-old key witness Mia Hoffman changes her testimony, allowing a police killer to go free, she is completely reviled. Suffering from undiagnosed PTSD, severe anxiety and hallucinations, and seeking help, she stumbles upon noted British therapist Dr. Franklin Spitz, who specializes in solving the causes of PTSD. However, something terrible has happened to his wife and Franklin himself is traumatized and also suffers from delusions. Mia is eagerly looking for reality, while Franklin seems to avoid it.
