Drum plot
"The truth shall set you free"
Johannesburg, South Africa. Jim Bailey is the heir to a very wealthy British family, who made their fortune in the mining industry. He launches Drum magazine, a weekly with a good portion of crime, sports, gossip, music and sex scandals. A successful mix because Drum quickly reaches the masses. But when Henry Nxumalo, a young South African, and Jurgen Schadeberg, a German photographer, track down a government plot, they risk everything to gather enough evidence to publish the story. As Drum becomes more popular with the population, the government does everything it can to silence Jurgen and Henry.
