Marian, a New York-based auctioneer, receives word that her brother Michael, who lives in Berlin, has committed suicide. She investigates in Berlin and comes across a number of suspicious circumstances. The neighbors in the apartment complex don't seem to trust either. Then she finds some photos that Michael took shortly before his death. Photos of murdered women who all have something to do with the writer and artist of a comic book.
