Just before her eighteenth birthday, Beate (Jutta Speidel) travels with her parents to a sunny place. That seems nice, but the girl suspects a trap: once it's her birthday, she takes control of the money that her prematurely deceased father left her. She is sure that her stepfather would be only too happy to lay his hands on the fortune.
