Der Rote Rausch plot

When Josef Stief, incarcerated for quadruple femicide in an 'institution for the criminally mentally ill', breaks out, he flees through the swamp and is accepted into a family of reed farmers on Lake Neusiedler. Daughter Kathrin believes he is her husband Martin, who was hiding on the Hungarian border. However, Stief, who suffers from amnesia, recognizes himself in a police photo and immediately flees again.
