Der Mann Nebenan plot

Arthur Johnson has been living in Trinity Road No. 142 for 20 years when the young German student Anton Johnson takes up residence. Arthur lives alone on the top floor of the building, from where he can quietly watch the other residents. They are a drinking art-loving Polish immigrant and his wife, a well-educated Jamaican and a certain Li-Li Chan who fully savor the pleasures of youth and love. On the other hand, the respectable citizen Arthur leads a seemingly spotless existence. When the Polish woman is murdered for no apparent reason, the entire building is in an uproar.
