Der Letzte Kurier plot

Cologne antique dealer Bernhard Rohleder (Hans Martin Stier) has powerful connections in Moscow. His wife Vera (Sissi Perlinger) knows him through and through and knows that he is actually in dubious business. He disappears without a trace in Moscow and on his answering machine is a message that cannot be tied to. Via the Russian diplomatic representation, the announcement comes that Bernhard was killed in a traffic accident. Vera has to identify the remains in Moscow and when she sees the charred corpse she knows it is not her husband.
