Das Biest im Bodensee plot

The geneticists of a large chemical company have created an embryo of an amphibian-like creature using advanced DNA techniques. Scientist Eva (Barbara Rudnik) has quit her job at the company, but other researchers, including Eva's husband Mark (Stefan Reck), are continuing the project. Of course the experiment gets out of hand: the creature escapes to a lake, starts to grow enormously and is able to reproduce itself. At the same time, more and more people are disappearing without a trace near the lake. Eva wants to destroy the monster as quickly as possible, but the chemical company is determined to get the creature alive.
