Not much to. Quite a promising scenario, also an appealing cast and everything goes well up to and including robbery, but as soon as it has to burn loose, betrayal gives way to revenge and everything that comes with it, Irvin shoots just about all fronts shortage.

Roy's hunt for Skip is already too small. From type to type, there is not much more to experience. Narrative nothing to write home about, but the individual scenes aren't really full of intensity either. The more dramatic moments even come across as rather silly.

Especially when Janssen gets involved again. Pretty rough how Irvin tries to peel off his lead role. I couldn't do much with it, and neither could Keitel. Too little flesh and blood in his character, more of a pawn that is used to get to the other side.

Also some weird music choices, although the opening track is a nice one. Also applies to something with a car and a fence, but the atmosphere is not gray enough and whoever is responsible for the dialogues can be a little more creative next time. I'm my own police. Come on.

Raw grim humorless crime film with serious criminals... my kind of stuff. These were the kind of movies I rented from the video store in the 90's, but I didn't know about this one and never noticed. It's a bit like the Harvey Keitel show, which at one point is out for bitter revenge. Very simple in design but if you ask me, well executed with the necessary brutal action. Great relaxation to eat with a bag of chips.
