Artificial Lies plot

Famed psychiatrist and infamous hooker Dr. Palmer Harrison is found murdered in his office. The prime suspect is his last patient of the day, Karen Wettering. Although she firmly denies the murder, she admits to having had a sexual relationship with him. Roger Bellamy, Karen's attorney, asks psychiatrist Dr. Peter Rexler to evaluate Karen in order to prevent unwanted matters from emerging during the trial. As the evidence against Karen piles up, Peter comes up with the idea of using a dangerous medical lie to give Roger more time to prepare a proper defense.
