Imke (Sophie von Kessel) is busy restoring a monastery when she is recalled to her birthplace. There, a statue of Mary Magdalene (the sinner) was shot on the same day a prostitute was murdered. Imke suspects a connection. She investigates the case and is shocked to discover that her father is involved in the mystery.
