A Stone in the Water plot

Martha, an eccentric peasant woman, is heartbroken by the death of her only son. She mistakenly believes that Alex, a young city girl, is pregnant with her son's child. What Martha doesn't know is that Alex was involved in a robbery that ended in a murder and that the loot is hidden in the basement of her house. When Alex returns to retrieve the stolen jewelry, Martha finds herself in trouble. Martha drugs Alex and gags her to her bed in order to protect the unborn child because there are other people who want to kill her.
