The Return of Captain Invincible plot
"What the world needs now is a shining hero!"
During World War II, superhero Captain Invicible (Arkin) was essential to victory against the Nazis. But after the war, he was suspected of being a communist, so he left for Australia and disappeared from view. Thirty years later, a superhero is needed again in America, so a policewoman goes looking for him. Captain Invincible turns out to be an alcoholic who has forgotten how to fly and must relearn how to use his magical powers so that he can battle Mr. Midnight (Lee).
