The Human Hibernation plot

Erin wakes up and sees that there is still snow on the ground. He came out of hibernation too early. As he strolls through the snowy forest in search of his sister, he succumbs to the freezing temperatures. The days are getting longer; the snow gives way to mud. The others are now waking up from their hibernation, resuming their lives and clearing the vegetation from their homes. Now it is Carla who searches for her brother, but to no avail.
