Lunopolis plot
During a late broadcast about conspiracies, a caller claims that humans from the future live on the moon and control our actions from there. When a box of strange materials arrives at the radio station a few days later, filmmakers Matt and Sonny delve into the story. They discover a series of hidden coordinates that takes them deep into Louisiana, to a large underground facility. There they discover that there may be more truth to the caller's story than initially believed. The filmmakers come into contact with the bizarre and reclusive Church of Lunology, an organization that tries to keep their secrets hidden at all costs.

As soon as director Matthew Avant starts babbling about the so-called "Church of Lunology" it immediately becomes clear what this film is trying to magnify and who it wants to upset, but the result is half an hour of amateurish drivel followed by a full hour of nonsense. Nevertheless, the final concept is suppressed enough to remove any predictability, keeping the film interesting. You have to give Avant credit for coming up with something original, the pity is that the final design is so bland. From the typical Matrix-esque villains to the lame plot twists, Lunopolis certainly makes no effort to hide its influences. The documentary-style approach is advantageous, but in the end I thought that the talk was so stupid that the final impression mainly left irritation (let alone that the socially critical notes were made clear). Interesting idea, mediocre implementation.
