Zelary plot
Eliška, a nurse, and her lover, who is a surgeon, are part of a resistance movement in Czechoslovakia in the 1940s. When they are unmasked, her boyfriend flees and Eliška must find shelter. A patient whose life she once saved, a man from a remote mountain village where time has stood still for 150 years, is willing to help her. Eliška is forced to leave her urban life and become Hana, the wife of a mountain dweller.
