Caroline (Julia Jentsch) is about to get married, until she finds out she's already married! And she didn't know about that. That's because illegal foreigner Mariano (Giulio Ricciarelli) has misused a long-lost and never-used Caroline's marriage document in order to stay longer in Germany. Things get even more complicated when the two meet. They fall in love.
