The Christmas Shepherd plot
Children's book author Sally Brown lives with the sheepdog Buddy after her husband's death. When Buddy runs away during a thunderstorm, he ends up at the animal shelter. There he is found by Mark Green and his teenage daughter Emma. Buddy helps them cope with the loss of his wife and her mother. But when Sally finds Buddy again, a decision must be made whether to stay with Mark and Emma or go back with Sally.

I hate Christmas movies, but in Belgium, there's a channel that shows them all day long. On a lazy afternoon, I kept watching, maybe more for Teri Polo. It's a typical lame movie where you know what's going to happen from a mile away, but I kept watching anyway. Oh well, everyone has a weak moment now and then.
But I'm sure Polo wasn't in the Christmas spirit when this film was made, as she owed a whopping $800,000, most of it back taxes...
