Get the Kleenex ready... and a bucket to throw up in. Because what a monstrosity this was, half flushed.
The stupid story is nothing more than a collection of television programs such as Uit de Kast, DNA Unknown and Over mijn Lijk. Recorded in some shitty village with those career hats who say things like 'if I say yes then I will just earn twice as much'. The acting is so bad that I didn't give a shit what happened to those people. Dialogues seem to come from some bouquet series novel. All this supported by depressing Dutch funeral music.
A jerk of a father who makes disgusting comments to his daughter's Moroccan boyfriend, but he's secretly a good guy too... Very uncomfortable scene at that table by the way.
And what also struck me haha, in a scene in the hospital, the entrance to the hospital is shown beforehand, so that the viewer knows: now there is a scene in the hospital. Haha, like in some soap opera, Medisch Centrum West or Dynasty or something...

Typical Dutch film. Although I can't call it a comedy since 98% was drama.
What really bothered me was that they used Yolanthe. I mean: okay, maybe Hoes can't act, but at least she completed theater school and took musical lessons. Just like Melissa Drost and the rest by the way.
But Yolanthe? She really is the most useless person in the world with no talent whatsoever and who can't act at all, so I can't understand why they put such a woman in it, and in the lead role.
Maybe if they had chosen someone else I could have sympathized with the character a little, but now it just irritated me. It was that bad.

Quite a nice film by Dutch standards.
I don't think it's really a comedy. It's more of a drama film.
Everyone does their best in terms of acting. Sometimes a bit wooden and artificial, but often sincere.
Nice snack, but don't expect goosebumps.
