Shawn doesn't feel like it anymore: her job oppresses her, her relationship with a married man leads nowhere. She sees only one way out. Charlie is a petty thief, but has been persuaded by his friends to commit a bank robbery. Surprised by the quick arrival of the police, he is the only one who manages to flee to the roof of the bank building. There Charlie interrupts Shawn in her suicide attempt. Hunted by the police, Charlie takes Shawn hostage. But how do you take a person who wants to die hostage? They make a deal: Shawn helps Charlie escape, if he kills her afterwards. However, in the 24 hours in which they are on the run together, their lives change completely.
