Gun Gun Hong Chen plot
About the writer Zhaohwa, who as a girl was locked up by her father to prevent her from meeting her lover. Her later love life is also tragic in a sense; the man of her choice has a past as a collaborator with the hated Japanese. Set in various cities in North-East China, such as Changchun, Harbin and the large port city of Yingkou, the film spans the period from the occupation of China by Japan up to the present day.
