French Toast plot
"A journey to Paris to find the truth"
Photographer Lise le Roux lives with her father on a wine farm near Stellenbosch. In her memory, her late mother left a secret family recipe for French toast. One rainy day, Lise discovers her mother's diary and discovers that she has another sibling in France. Despite her boyfriend about to propose to her, she leaves for Paris to discover the truth about her family and mother. In Paris she meets the French chef Jean-Pierre Baptiste. She helps him as a photographer for his new cookbook, and Jean-Pierre helps her find her lost sibling.
