Der Kahn der Fröhlichen Leute plot

After the death of her parents, 19-year-old Marianne inherits the motorboat 'Eendracht'. But the shipowners of the cooperative are unanimous: "There should be a man on the boat", especially since the girl is a minor and has not received any lessons in shipping. But Marianne is not easy to intimidate and simply hires her Uncle August from Hamburg. When he takes over the ship from her, the two obtain the required patent without any problems.
