The story is set in the small town of Lucknow in northern India, where Islamic culture was at its peak. Three best friends do everything together. Aslam (Dutt) and Nawab (Rehman) unknowingly fall in love with the same woman, Jameela (Waheeda Rehman). They become entangled in a strange love triangle.
